Kids Helping Kids
At Rare Trait Hope Society we have been emotionally overwhelmed by children who want to help Makeda beat AGU. These children have inspired us to be better, to recognize that giving comes from the heart. These children are our future, and we couldn’t be more hopeful.
Abby M. saw a need and knew she could help. Using her artistic talents she made fridge magnets and sold them, raising $500.00!! Her talents, compassion and entrepreneurship are an inspiration to us all!
Evan T. worked over the summer to raise funds to help his friend Makeda. By saving and collecting pocket money, selling second hand clothes and toys and soliciting donations on behalf of Rare Trait Hope he raised $400! We are so grateful for his tireless efforts to help his friend in a time of need. This young man has a big heart and great future!
When Lily M and Jaime A learned about the challenges faced by Makeda, they knew they had to help their fellow VanU FC player. They held a raffle and enlisted all their friends, classmates, teachers and VanU teammates to buy tickets. They raised an astounding $2,698, all of which will go towards funding Makeda’s clinical trial. We give a special shout out to these future leaders and thank them for their vision, drive and commitment to support Makeda.
